The Kuhl Law Fleece Lined Hoody is not a Hoody. It is, however a very very stout winter jacket with a deep fleece and warm hood. I reviewed the Kuhl Burr Jacket in the past and this Fleece Lined Hoody feels like the ‘Big Brother’ of that. With articulated arms, an adjustable sleeve and loads of deep pockets this jacket is smart in urban areas and practical for wearing on a winter hike on the trails as well as having a distinct natural dye that will patina in a ‘rugged lived in way’ over time.

As someone that spends a lot of time outdoors on trails all year I have a tendency to wear sports gear as casual clothing too. The Kuhl Law Fleece Lined Hoody is a fantastic pull away from the default ‘puffy jacket’ and smarten me up a bit when I’m out for a walk or away from the trails and into more urban areas. The extreme warmth of this jacket makes it ideal for even the deepest Winter Temperatures.

Dyed Exterior

The hoody exterior is made form cotton but with an incredibly dense ottoman weave that makes it nearly impermeable to a shower whilst still be breathable. It has a vintage dyed finish that will age as you wash or wear it making it look like a favourite jacket you’ve worn for years.

Fleece Interior

The hoody has a very deep and plush interior throughout. There is also an interior zip pocket to store things like your wallet or phone too.

Fit

The hoody comes up true to size and they have taken in to account that you’ll probably have 2 layers on beneath as it is very much a winter outer garment. The arms have excellent articulation making the jacket much more comfortable to wear in a normal bent arm pose. The hoody is also available in 5 colors and 6 sizes.

Pockets

As well as the inside zipped pocket the hoody has two large main zipped pockets with a fleecy lined interior to help keep your hands warm, as well as another smaller zipped chest pocket as well.

Sleeves

The sleeves come with thumb loops to help keep your hands warm.

Gripes

No gripes at all. This hoody is a fantastic mash up of retro style with practical warmth at a superb price point. It would probably be more helpful to call it The Law Fleece Hoody though!
