At time of writing the UK government still has a blanket ban on direct flights to Sharm el Sheikh airport for no good reason I can think of. This has had a huge impact on Egyptian tourism and stopped a large number of UK divers from going to the Red Sea in 2016… but not me ! I walked round the corner in an alleyway in a quiet part of London and there it was… It was like hashing but with the average age halved, After the searing heat of my desert crossing and the freezing rain of Race to the King I was like Bilbo Baggins returning home to the Shire.
