Eager for Luxury Travel? Here’s Our Tips for Luxury Vacation Planning

A luxury vacation sounds like a dream for many. Choosing the perfect resort, booking flights, coordinating amazing activities. It’s exciting, but it can be overwhelming and it can end up feeling like more of a headache to organise. Planning a luxury getaway doesn’t have to be that way. However, with the right approach, you can make sure that the planning is just as enjoyable as the vacation itself.

It’s much nicer to plan a vacation when your budget feels a lot more unlimited where you can add in a private experience with Hilton Head Boat Charters, or you can eat lobster on a private island off-shore. Luxury travel is all about unwinding before you even step on that plane and knowing that you are going to be fully pampered and taken care of once you land. With that in mind, here are our top tips for luxury vacation planning.

1. Know what you want. Most people have a good idea of what they would do if their vacation didn’t come with a budget. Create a picture in your mind of what your ultimate vacation would look like. Are you in the middle of DisneyWorld in Florida or are you heading to the Mediterranean coast on a cruise? Choosing a destination that matches your vibe is important. You want to get off that plane and know that you are in the right and most luxurious place for you from the get go.

    2. Set yourself that budget. Luxury vacations don’t come cheap, but you don’t want to bankrupt yourself to get one. Start with a smart budget, one that is generous. You should make sure that you account for every expense, not just in the room or the fare on the flight, but think dining, activities, upgrades and even tipping. You might be able to find some amazing packages that are on good deals at resorts, but you shouldn’t limit yourself. If you make a list of the things that you want, try to achieve them within your budget or save until you get enough of a budget to do it.

      3. Book early. In a world of luxury travel, you need to be first in best dressed. For the best rooms, the best suite, and the best cabins on your cruise, you need to be able to book as early as possible. It can very much pay to plan ahead, even if you’ve booked your vacation a year in advance. Popular itineraries can send out a message and they sell out a long time in advance, especially during the peak travel seasons.

        4. Use the travel advisor. There’s nothing worse than spending a fortune on a dream vacation only to find out that the pictures and images online were all smoke and mirrors. Do your research or use a travel agent so that you can compare results and cruise lines and airlines to find out what’s going to suit you best. No matter the type of vacation you want, a travel advisor can help you to get the planning stages under way.
