This is not a subtle shirt. This shirt was designed to make you smile and enjoy every minute of a beach or pool party. Its literally a sartorial wing man that holds your beer for you, keeps it cool and even has a bottle opener pocket to help you open your beer. Combined with a terry towel lining to dry you straight from the pool and waterproof pocket to keep your phone, wallet and keys safe this shirt has everything you need for a great Summer Party. This shirt is brash, unapologetic and loud, but its also thoughtfully made, well designed and very high quality. Its like a Corvette Stingray car…parked in a pool. I love it.

I like the great outdoors. Trail Running, Camping ….epic stuff. I’m also known for liking a beer. I’ve been discussing ‘the perfect drinking’ shirt for some. A kind of ‘Swiss Army Knife’ shirt that you can use to open and hold a beer, and use as a towel at the beach. When I test outdoor gear I test it to the limit and so I gave this shirt no mercy and took it on the ultimate test.

This shirt is advertised as a slim fit, but actually I would say I possibly ordered one size too big based on their sizing chart. This is not the issue that you would think it is as this shirt is a relaxed Californian ‘by the pool at a party’ kind of shirt so if you are worrying about it nipping in at the waist ‘just so’ you are probably missing the point of having this shirt. I threw this shirt on when I was stilla bit wet and found the towel inside does a great job for the lazy pool person. After wearing the shirt all day I was also surprised to find that the shirt did a great job sopping up a sweaty drinking me, kept me warm between the cool evening bars in London but never felt too hot when I was inside.
My shirt is a ‘bird of paradise’ Hawaiian print with a cotton/lyocell blend on the outer. Look inside though and you will find this shirt is lined with a modal/ cotton Terry fluffy lining like a towel. This means you can throw this shirt on straight out of the pool or the sea and get dry straight away.
Beer Pocket and More
So one of the best things about this shirt is it beer pouch. Its round the back low down so its out the way without swinging around too much. It also comes with its own ‘Beer Koozie’ which is a neoprene sleeve that helps to keep the beer cool.
The shirt also has a waterproof pocket with a rubberized waterproof zip on it. This means you have a splashproof pocket to keep your phone,keys and wallet when you are enjoying yourself.

The Churchill Bar In Marylebone London has a strict dress code so the shirt passed the test on smart as well as casual. I sipped fine Rum and puffed a Cigar looking every bit the relaxed classy tourist in my own country.
Your Personal Wingman in a Busy Bar
As my Bachelor Party went on we hit some of the busy bars in London and my Best Man was gleefully showing off the High Sierra Shirt he was trying out to some of our other friends. Many gave the ‘knowing nod’ of ‘British Appreciation’ at the pocket for the bottle opener and the beer cooler pocket.

For those of us that are shy there is a set of talking point cards also in the shirt so that you can use them to start conversations or jot down telephone numbers.
Washing and Care
I would recommend washing this shirt with white or light colors on a low temperature wash and only line or hang drying. You can also get away with tumble drying on low temp to get the inside terry lining nice and towel fluffy again.
