EXPED Camp SLipper, Booty and Insulated Sock Review

In Depth Review

There are a number of things that cause campers concerns at night. From ‘Shadow Bears’ to that growing worry you’ve left your front door open at home but its the little things that actually keep us up at night. As I get …ahem…. the wrong side of 40 I can tell you that getting out of a tent or hammock at night to pee is a real pain as I fumble in the dark for shoes and lace them up. My wife suffers from the cold and her feet feel it the most. When I saw that EXPED now have a range of products to solve this issues both my wife and I were pleased for different reasons.

The Camp Slipper

The EXPED camp slipper will be a hit with Thru Hikers and FKT people who put serious mileage on during the day and need swollen tired feet to recover in the evening. The slipper has a level of insulation and a relaxed fit as well as a water resistant grip beneath. For me these were my favourite because I can hang them in my hammock from the loops and slide them on when I need to pee in the night without having to fumble for my boots and try to lace them up.

The Camp Booty

The Camp Booty has the same features as the slipper but with added insulation round your ankles too. This was more of a hit with my wife who often gets cold feet when sleeping.

The Down Sock

This will be most popular with those that like to put their feet up at a camp fire and relax or people that get cold feet in camp.
