Super Speedy Summary Review
The Aeros Pillow Premium from Sea to Summit is super small and packs up small enough to put in your pocket and weighs in at around 2oz. Its a well made piece of kit with a high quality micro stuff sack too. Its made of a soft squishy velour type material that means you don’t wake up with your face stuck to vinyl and its sleep lock system and ergonomic contoured shape means it stays in the centre where you need it. Great for camping but also great when travelling through airports and long car journeys too.

I’m a shocker when it comes to camping and pillows. In the past I’ve used waterbottles wrapped in a T Shirt, a tightly folded mini towel and even the legs of a camping buddy.
So Sooooooooooooft
I expected this to be like the usual clammy vinyl inflatable pillows I’ve tried but instead its super soft. It is a hard wearing fabric thats covered in a soft velour like material that means your sweat ( or in my case drool) doesn’t help stick your face to it as you sleep all night.
Breathalyzer
Its small so it only inflates in one breath and the valve is easy to use for inflating and deflating. When I used it all night it also stayed fully inflated too so the valve doesn’t leak at all.
Size and Weight
Packed up in its only little baby stuffsack I reckon you could easily fit it inside a soda can its that small, it also only weighs about 2oz so it has no bulk impact to your camping gear on your back but a huge impact on your nights sleeping comfort.
Gripes
Its a testament to how stupid I am that I couldn’t use a pillow properly. When I slept with it recently I couldn’t help think that the valve was a bit in the way and should be mounted on the side or underneath. It was only as I sat and wrote this review I realized I had been using the pillow upside down and the valve IS on the underside.

About Sea to Summit
The origins of the company began in 1983 in Perth, Western Australia – a time when lightweight, outdoor products were hard to find in Australia. Roland Tyson, a keen climber and adventurer, began making his own gear on an antique sewing machine in his bedroom.
A few years later, in 1990, Australian mountaineer, Tim Macartney-Snape, approached Roland to make gear for his upcoming expedition – an audacious attempt to climb Mt Everest by beginning his ascent sea level. The gear that Roland would be making would need to work at every altitude over several months and be light and durable enough for the 5 month trek Tim would be embarking on.
The expedition was a success and so was the gear and the Sea to Summit brand was born. The name of the expedition was a perfect analogy for how Roland had been designing and producing equipment for years. Always starting from the ground up, questioning how things had been done before and how he could create gear that’s truly breaking new ground.
Decades later, this is still what makes them who they are: a company driven by design perfectionism that allows them to develop ingenious, functionally beautiful products with a “no worries” Australian attitude. Their original ethos ‘to equip and inspire’ continues to drive research and development of new techniques, materials, technologies and production methods. It inspires new product innovations that keep them at the forefront of delivering lighter, better made, better performing gear for all kinds of outdoor adventures – from high altitude expeditions to family car camping and everything in between.
