I wouldn’t normally pick pink for clothing or sunglasses but Tifosi are doing a Breast Cancer Awareness limited edition with a clear frame and rose mirror lenses so I thought Id mix things up and try a pair that I wouldn’t normally choose.

Defeating the ‘Sunglasses Mafia’

I have strong views (pun) on sunglasses. Almost the entire market is controlled by a ‘Shades Mafia’ called Luxottica who own almost every ‘top’ brand you can think of and deliberately keep prices high and usually dumb down and trash the quality of the brands they ‘acquire’.

$150 dollar sunglasses are not 3 times better than $50 dollar sunglasses. The difference is usually whether Luxottica are involved or not. What I love about the three different pairs of Tifosi sunglasses I have tested is how much bang for your buck you get compared to high end brands AND the fact that when you inevitably scratch them how low cost it is to replace them.

They are designed to never pull hair when putting on and off and the nose and ear grips mean they do not have any ‘wobble’ and sit securely on you even when moving round a lot. With a range of lenses and frame color combinations, a virtual try on and parts and spares available as well as a prescription option you’ll be hard pushed to find anything this good elsewhere for less than $30.
